In a ceremony at the Michigan State Capitol, in Lansing, CNS Healthcare Visions Clubhouse was recognized for its outstanding work in the community. Clubhouse Michigan recognized a total of 15 clubhouses and community employers from around Michigan for employing clubhouse members in Transitional Employment (TE) positions.
Transitional Employment is a time-limited job opportunity, usually six- to nine-months, where clubhouse members gain work experience while being supported by clubhouse staff. After completing a TE position, members can move on to an independent employment opportunity.
CNS’ Visions Clubhouse has partnered with Panera Bread, since 2014. Three clubhouse members gained work experience through TE positions. Two clubhouse members are now independently employed at Panera Bread.
State Representative Jim Tedder presented the award, and praised the “great community partnership” between Visions and Panera. If you would like to support Panera’s work with Visions, please visit them at 5175 Highland Road, Waterford.
